Solid Night of Fight Action Featured UFC President Dana White
Appearance
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 8, 2017--
Alliance
MMA, Inc. ("Alliance MMA" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: AMMA), a
professional mixed martial arts (MMA) company that brings together the
best regional productions to build the next generation of MMA champions,
announced today that Lou Neglia’s Ring of Combat (ROC) 59 is now
available to purchase for online viewing via Video on Demand (VOD) at WatchROC.com.
The ROC event was held on Friday, June 2, at the Tropicana Casino &
Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where Ultimate Fighting
Championship (UFC) President Dana White was in attendance filming an
episode of his hit web television series “Dana White: Lookin’ For A
Fight.”
The highlight of the evening came in the form of the Ring of Combat
National Bantamweight title fight when Merab Dvalishvili knocked out
Raufeon Stots in under twenty-seconds with a vicious spinning backfist.
A native of the Eastern European country of Georgia, Dvalishvili is a
Serra-Longo Fight Team member who is now 7-2, and drawing significant
interest from the UFC following his spectacular victory in front of Dana
White. Through an exclusive purchase agreement, Alliance MMA acquired
the existing library of Neglia’s legendary promotion, as well as the
right to own and produce the video content for all future ROC events.
“In October 2016, at the time we completed our Initial Public Offering,
Alliance MMA acquired all of the media rights for Ring of Combat for the
express purpose of offering this historically valuable content to MMA
fans,” said Paul K. Danner, Chief Executive Officer of Alliance MMA. “We
believe that demand for viewing Ring of Combat content may be
significant as ROC has sent upwards of 60 fighters to the UFC, some of
whom went on to become world champions like Frankie Edgar and Chris
Weidman. The ROC promotion name definitely resonates with many East
Coast MMA fans, so the Company plans to explore a range of possibilities
in order to monetize these media assets as effectively as possible going
forward.”
MMA fans can watch Dvalishvili’s knockout on the Alliance
MMA Facebook page, and order the full
ROC 59 video-on-demand at WatchROC.com.
